Catwalk for Charity: The Burn Foundation

This has been an eventful week and I’m delighted to share a bit about our charity event. On Monday, Villa Blanca hosted a fashion show and luncheon for the Children’s Burn Foundation. ┬áThe Children’s Burn Foundation is a California-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing burns and fires and providing services to those who have been affected by a burn injury.

We had about 120 ladies attend the luncheon and I’m honored to announce we raised $20,000 for the charity. Additionally my friends at Epione Spa in Beverly Hills contributed thousands of dollars in treatments to the women, and we were fortunate to have had many prizes donated.

As for the fashion portion of the event, the models strutted the runway in lavish designs by Chris Makowksy, with hair and makeup Batia. Chris additionally designs much of my attire, and his work is absolutely the finest there is.

Overall it was a phenomenal success. It’s energizing to see friends come together to promote change and I feel honored to have been apart of it. Thank you to everyone who made this possible, and may we continue to learn, grow and inspire together.

  1. I need to see that gold dress that was at the catwalk I think it was a mini dress with only one sleeve. I really liked that dress. I went to the designers web site but did not see it there.

  2. Lisa,

I recently stumbled across your show for the first time while I was visiting a friend for new years. I was struck by the classy way you handle yourself, and couldn’t help but admire your drive to help those less fortunate. This is rather odd but I didn’t see any way to write you a letter, and I was wondering; if you were mentoring girls who wanted to start their own businesses what would you say to them? Not just about starting a business but about how to comport themselves in general. I’m very interested in how you got started and what you believe your biggest influences were.

    Thank you for your time
